The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those who drag forth to destruction, 1 and those that blow gently, 2 And those who glide swimmingly, 3 Then outpace the others swiftly 4 And those who govern the event, 5 A Day shall come whereon the quaking will quake, 6 And there will follow it the next blast. 7 On that day hearts beat painfully 8 and their eyes shall be humbled. 9 They say: shall we indeed be restored to the first state, 10 After having turned to carious bones?" 11 They say: "Then this returning will be a dead loss." 12 It will be only one scaring shout, 13 And suddenly they will be [alert] upon the earth's surface. 14 Have you heard the story of Moses? 15 When his Lord called to him in Tuwa's holy vale? 16 "Go thou to Pharaoh for he has indeed transgressed all bounds: 17 And say to him: "Would you purify yourself (from the sin of disbelief by becoming a believer)", 18 And let me guide you to your Lord so you would fear [Him]?'" 19 So he showed him the great sign, 20 But (Pharaoh) rejected it and disobeyed (guidance); 21 Then he turned away, deliberating, 22 and gathered his people and declared: 23 And said, "I am your most exalted lord." 24 you pay attention 25 Lo! herein is indeed a lesson for him who feareth. 26
