The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven of the constellations! 1 And by oath of the Promised Day. 2 by the Witness and the witnessed, 3 may the people be condemned those who tortured (the believers) in ditches 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel: 5 As they sat around it 6 and were themselves witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 whom they hate for no other reason than that they believe in God, the Almighty, the One to whom all praise is due, 8 Him, Whose is the dominion of heavens and the earth. And Allah is over everything a Witness. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and women without repenting will suffer the torment of hell and that of the burning fire. 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 Indeed, the seizing of your Lord is severe. 12 Indeed, it is He who originates [creation] and repeats. 13 And He only is the Oft Forgiving, the Beloved of His bondmen. 14 The Lord of the glorious Throne, 15 Executor of His own will. 16 Has not there come to you the story of the hosts, 17 Pharaoh and Thamood? 18 But those who disbelieve are engaged in denial. 19 Whereas Allah is, from behind them, Encompassing. 20 Aye! it is a Recitation glorious, 21 written on a preserved Tablet. 22
