The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Woe unto every slanderer, traducer, 1 Who amasses wealth and considers it a provision (against mishap); 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever. 3 Nay! Verily, he will be thrown into the crushing Fire. 4 and what shall teach thee what is the Crusher; 5 It is a fierce fire created by God 6 Which rises above the hearts. 7 closed around them 8 in outstretched columns. 9

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
