Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

Perish the hands of Abu Lahab, and perish he! 1 What will his wealth avail him, and all that he has gained? 2 He will [enter to] burn in a Fire of [blazing] flame 3 and his wife, the carrier of the firewood, 4 In her neck is a twisted rope of Masad (palm fibre). 5

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
