Verily the tree of Zaqqum 43 Is the food of the sinners. 44 like molten copper, bubbling in the belly 45 Like the boiling of scalding water. 46 “Seize him and drag him to the middle of the Blazing Fire, 47 then pour over his head the anguish of burning despair! 48 Taste this; you who considered yourself the mighty, the honourable! 49 Lo! this is that whereof ye used to doubt. 50 Indeed the pious are in a place of peace. 51 among gardens and springs, 52 Wearing [garments of] fine silk and brocade, facing each other. 53 Thus (shall it be), and We will wed them with Houris pure, beautiful ones. 54 In that [paradise] they shall [rightfully] claim all the fruits [of their past deeds,] resting in security; 55 They will not taste death therein, save the first death. God will save them from the torment of Hell 56 a bounty from thy Lord; that is the mighty triumph. 57 THUS, THEN, [O Prophet,] have We made this [divine writ] easy to understand, in thine own [human] tongue, so that men might take it to heart. 58 Wait then (O Muhammad). Lo! they (too) are waiting. 59
