Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the winds which carry dust particles, 1 Then those clouds bearing the load (of minute things in space). 2 and those speeding along with ease, 3 by the angels which distribute the affairs, 4 that what you are promised is certainly true 5 And lo! the judgment will indeed befall. 6 And by oath of the decorated heaven. 7 your ideas are confused. 8 Turned aside therefrom is who is turned aside. 9 Destroyed are the falsifiers 10 and who wander in the abyss of confusion. 11 They ask, "When will the Day of Judgement come?" 12 (It is) the day on which they shall be tried at the fire. 13 Taste your persecution! this is what you would hasten on. 14 As for the God-fearing, they shall be in the midst of gardens and fountains, 15 taking whatsoever their Lord has given them; they were good-doers before that. 16 they would lie asleep during but a small part of the night, 17 And in the hours before dawn they would ask forgiveness, 18 and in their wealth was a share for whosoever asked and for whosoever was prevented. 19 And in the earth there are signs for those who are sure, 20 There is also evidence of the Truth within your own selves. Will you then not see? 21 There is in the heavens your sustenance, and whatever has been promised you. 22 So by the Lord of heaven and earth, it is as true as your speech. 23
