Hizb 46
< random >
Verily Jonah is one of the apostles. 139 He ran away to the laden ship, 140 And lots were cast (when a storm overtook them), he was rejected, (and thrown overboard). 141 The fish swallowed him up and he deserved (all this). 142 Had he not been one of those who glorify Allah, 143 He would have tarried in the belly thereof till the Day when they are raised. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on a desert shore while he was sick; 145 and We caused to grow over him a tree of gourds. 146 And We sent him to [his people of] a hundred thousand or more. 147 And they came to believe; so We allowed them to enjoy the good things of life for an age. 148 Therefore ask them (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), whether the daughters are for your Lord and the sons for them! 149 Or did We create the angels as females while they were witnesses?" 150 Is it not that they say, from their own invention, 151 Allah hath begotten. Allah! verily they tell a lie. 152 Did He (then) choose daughters rather than sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How judge ye? 154 Will you not then mind? 155 “Or do you have some clear proof?” 156 Then produce your scriptures, if you are telling the truth. 157 And they have appointed a relationship between Him and the jinns; and indeed the jinns surely know that they will be brought forth. 158 Glorified be Allah from that which they attribute (unto Him), 159 all of them except the chosen servants of Allah. 160 So neither you nor those you worship 161 you shall not tempt any against Him 162 Except such as are (themselves) going to the blazing Fire! 163 (Gabriel said to the Prophet): 'Each of us has a known place. 164 We stand in ranks (for prayer) 165 and we glorify God". 166 What though they would say, 167 “If only we had the Reminder which had been granted to the people of yore 168 Surely we would have been the bondmen of God sincere. 169 Yet (now that it is come) they disbelieve therein; but they will come to know. 170 Already has Our Word been passed before (this) to our Servants sent (by Us), 171 That they would be helped, 172 And that Our host, they verily would be the victors. 173 So turn away from them for a while. 174 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 175 So are they being impatient for Our punishment? 176 But when it descends in their territory, then evil is the morning of those who were warned. 177 Stay away from them for a while 178 And watch, for they will soon see. 179 Exalted be your Lord, the Lord of Glory, above what they attribute to Him, 180 Peace be on the Messengers. 181 And all praise is to Allah, the Lord Of The Creation. 182
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
