We verily created man and We know what his soul whispereth to him, and We are nearer to him than his jugular vein. 16 [And so,] whenever the two demands [of his nature] come face to face, contending from the right and from the left, 17 The human being will certainly experience the agony of death 18 And the stupor of death will come in truth: this is that which thou hast been shunning. 19 And the Horn shall be blown; that is the Day of Threat! 20 And every person will come forth along with an (angel) to drive (him), and an (angel) to bear witness. 21 (And the driver will say:) "You were oblivious of this, so we have removed the veil, and how keen is your sight today!" 22 And (unto the evil-doer) his comrade saith: This is that which I have ready (as testimony). 23 (And it will be said): "Both of you throw (Order from Allah to the two angels) into Hell, every stubborn disbeliever (in the Oneness of Allah, in His Messengers, etc.). 24 "Hinderer of good, transgressor, doubter, 25 Who made [as equal] with Allah another deity; then throw him into the severe punishment." 26 ۞ His accompanying devil said, “Our Lord! I did not cause him to rebel, but he himself was in extreme error.” 27 He saith: Contend not in My presence, when I had already proffered unto you the warning. 28 No word is to be exchanged in My presence. I am not unjust to My servants". 29
