The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the Terror descends 1 And there can be no denying of its befalling. 2 Abasing exalting. 3 When the earth is shaken up convulsively, 4 and the mountains crumbled 5 and become a dust, scattered, 6 you shall be divided into three parties, 7 Then (there will be) the Companions of the Right Hand;- What will be the Companions of the Right Hand? 8 And (then) those on the left hand; what of those on the left hand? 9 But the foremost shall be [they who in life were] the foremost [in faith and good works]: 10 those are they brought near (to their Lord) 11 In the Gardens of Pleasure, 12 A large group from the earlier generations. 13 and a few from later times. 14 upon close-wrought couches 15 facing one another. 16 Immortal youths will wait upon them 17 With vessels, pitchers and a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring - 18 a drink by which their minds will not be clouded nor will it cause drunkenness; 19 with fruits of their own choice 20 and any flesh of fowl that they desire. 21 And gorgeous eyed fair maidens. 22 The like of the hidden pearls: 23 as reward for their deeds. 24 No Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk) will they hear therein, nor any sinful speech (like backbiting, etc.). 25 All talk will be sound and upright. 26 And those on the Right Hand, Who will be those on the Right Hand? 27 Among thornless lote-trees 28 And [banana] trees layered [with fruit] 29 And in everlasting shade. 30 near to flowing water 31 And fruits numberless, 32 Whose season is not limited, nor (supply) forbidden, 33 And maidens incomparable. 34 for, behold, We shall have brought them into being in a life renewed, 35 And have made them virgins. 36 Loving, of equal age. 37 for those on the Right, 38

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
