The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Woe unto every slandering traducer, 1 Who hath gathered wealth (of this world) and arranged it. 2 thinking his wealth will render him immortal! 3 Never! He will certainly be thrown into the Crushing One. 4 And what will explain to thee That which Breaks to Pieces? 5 A fire kindled by God, 6 Which will climb on to the hearts. 7 Verily it will close in upon them, 8 in columns outstretched. 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
