The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High, 1 Who created all things and fashioned them in good proportion; 2 who has ordained and guided, 3 who brings forth the pastures, 4 and thereupon causes it to decay into rust-brown stubble! 5 We shall enable thee to recite, and then thou shalt not forget, 6 save what God wills; surely He knows what is spoken aloud and what is hidden. 7 We shall ease thee unto the Easing. 8 Therefore, keep on preaching as long as it is of benefit. 9 The admonition will be received by those who fear (Allah): 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 [He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire, 12 in which he will neither die nor live therein. 13 Prosperous is he who has cleansed himself, 14 And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth, 15 But ye prefer the life of the world 16 although the life to come is better and more enduring. 17 This, indeed, was in the ancient Scrolls, 18 the scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
