He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned (his) back, 1 because the blind man approached him! 2 How canst thou know, whether haply he might be cleansed, 3 Or become reminded so that the reminder should profit him? 4 As for him who thinks himself self-sufficient, 5 to him thou attendest 6 though you will not be questioned even if he never purifies himself. 7 But as for him who cometh unto thee with earnest purpose 8 and fearfully, 9 you pay him no heed. 10 No indeed, this is a Reminder; 11 So whoever wills may remember it. 12 upon pages high-honoured, 13 Exalted, pure. 14 by the hands of the noble, virtuous, 15 Honourable and Pious and Just. 16 May man be slain how ungrateful he is! 17 From what thing doth He create him? 18 Out of a sperm-drop did He create him and then determined a measure for him, 19 and made the path of guidance easy for him to follow. 20 He will then send him to death and have him laid in the grave. 21 Then He will raise him up again when He please. 22 Nay, but (man) has not done what He commanded him. 23 Then let mankind look at his food - 24 For that We pour forth water in abundance, 25 Then We cracked the earth open under pressure (of germination) 26 to yield therein corn, 27 And grapes and vegetables 28 And Olives and Dates, 29 Orchards thick with trees, 30 And fruits and fodder: 31 all this as a provision for you and your cattle. 32 But when the deafening cry comes, 33 on the Day when each man shall flee from his brother, 34 his mother, his father, 35 And from his wife and sons. 36 on that Day, to every one of them will his own state be of sufficient concern. 37 Many a face will be glittering on that day. 38 Laughing, rejoicing at good news. 39 And some faces will on that Day with dust be covered, 40 Dust shall cover them 41 Those are the disbelievers, the wicked ones. 42
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: He Frowned ('Abasa). Sent down in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
