Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 We saved them and their people from great distress; 115 And We supported them so it was they who overcame. 116 and We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 and guided them upon the Straight Path. 118 and perpetuated their praise in later generations. 119 Peace be upon Moosa and Haroon! 120 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 121 they were among Our believing servants. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 He told his people, "Why do you not have fear of God? 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” – 125 God your Lord and Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they denied him, so they surely will be haled forth (to the doom) 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 Peace be unto Elias! 130 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 And indeed Lut is one of the Noble Messengers. 133 Wherefore We saved him and his entire family 134 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 135 Then We annihilated the others. 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 and in the night; will you not understand? 138
