And assuredly the dwellers of Hijr belied the sent ones. 80 We sent them Our Signs, but they persisted in turning away from them. 81 They used to hew dwellings in the mountains to live in security. 82 But the (mighty) Blast seized them of a morning, 83 Then availed them not that which they had been earning. 84 And We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, except with the Truth; and indeed the Last Day will come, therefore (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), forbear graciously. 85 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-creator, the All-knowing. 86 (Muhammad), We have given you the seven most repeated (verses) and the great Quran. 87 Do not stretch your eyes to that We have given pairs of them to enjoy, nor sorrow for them, and lower your wing to the believers. 88 And say: "I am indeed he that warneth openly and without ambiguity,"- 89 Like as We sent down on the dividers 90 [and] who [now] declare this Qur'an to be [a tissue of] falsehoods! 91 By thy Lord, We will question them all. 92 concerning what they have been doing. 93 Therefore declare openly what you are bidden and turn aside from the polytheists. 94 Surely We suffice to deal with those who scoff at you, 95 Those who adopt, with Allah, another god: but soon will they come to know. 96 Indeed, We know that your breast is straitened at what they say. 97 Exalt with the praise of your Lord and be one of those who prostrate. 98 And keep worshipping your Lord, till death* comes to you. (* The certainty.) 99
