The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who has created (all things) proportionately, 2 and who determines the nature [of all that exists,] and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment,] 3 It is He who has caused the grass to grow, 4 Then turneth it to russet stubble. 5 We shall make you recite (the Qur'an) so that you will not forget it, 6 except whatever God wills; He knows both what is manifest and what is hidden -- 7 And We shall make easy for you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the easy way (i.e. the doing of righteous deeds). 8 Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer). 9 The reminder will be received by him who fears (Allah), 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 who will roast in the Great Fire, 12 in which he will neither die nor live therein. 13 Lasting happiness will be for those who purify themselves, 14 And mentions the name of his Lord and prays. 15 However, (the disbelievers) prefer the worldly life 16 whereas the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Verily! This is in the former Scriptures, 18 The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
