Al-Layl
The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the night enshrouding 1 and by the day when it unveils. 2 And by Who created the male and female, 3 your striving is indeed to different ends! 4 As for him who giveth and is dutiful (toward Allah) 5 and believes in the truth of the ultimate good 6 So We will very soon provide him ease. 7 but for him that is a miser, and sufficed, 8 And who belieth the Good, 9 Unto him therefore We shall Indeed make easy the path to hardship. 10 His riches will not save him when he perisheth. 11 Indeed guiding is upon Us. 12 And indeed, to Us belongs the Hereafter and the first [life]. 13 So, I warn you of the blazing Fire. 14 [the fire] which none shall have to endure but that most hapless wretch 15 The one who denied and turned away. 16 He will be far away from the most pious. (The first Caliph S. Abu Bakr Siddiq) 17 he that spends his possessions [on others] so that he might grow in purity 18 and confers no favour on any man for recompense, 19 But only seeking the countenance of his Lord, Most High. 20 He will surely be well-pleased (with him). 21
God the Almighty always says the truth.
