Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

The mutual rivalry for piling up of worldly things diverts you, 1 Until ye visit the graves. 2 But nay, ye soon shall know (the reality). 3 Again lo! presently ye shall know. 4 And yet if you knew with positive knowledge 5 that you shall surely see Hell? 6 In the end you will indeed, most surely, behold it with the eye of certainty: 7 Then on that day you will surely be asked about the verity of pleasures. 8

True are the words of God the Almighty.
