Say: O my Lord! if Thou shouldst make me see what they are threatened with: 93 exclude me from the unjust people". 94 [Pray thus] for, behold, We are most certainly able to let thee witness [the fulfillment, even in this world, of] whatever We promise them! 95 Repel evil with that which is best: We are well acquainted with the things they say. 96 And submit, “My Lord! I seek Your refuge from the instigation of the devils.” 97 I seek your protection should they approach me." 98 [AS FOR THOSE who will not believe in the life to come, they go on lying to themselves] until, when death approaches any of them, he prays: "O my Sustainer! Let me return, let me return [to life,] 99 so that I might act righteously in whatever I have failed [aforetime]!" Nay, it is indeed but a [meaningless] word that he utters: for behind those [who leave the world] there is a barrier [of death] until the Day when all will be raised from the dead! 100 For when the Trumpet is blown, that day there shall be no kinship any more between them, neither will they question one another. 101 Then those whose balance (of good deeds) is heavy,- they will attain salvation: 102 But those whose scales weigh light will have ruined their souls; in Hell will they abide. 103 The fire burneth their faces, and they are glum therein. 104 (They will be told), "Were Our revelations not recited to you and did you not call them lies?" 105 They shall say: O our Lord! our adversity overcame us and we were an erring people: 106 "Our Lord! bring us out of this: if ever we return (to Evil), then shall we be wrong-doers indeed!" 107 He will say: "Remain condemned in it, and do not speak to Me. 108 You are those that when a party of My servants said: 'Our Lord, we believe, so forgive us, and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of those that are merciful,' 109 But you took them for a laughing-stock, till they made you forget My remembrance, mocking at them. 110 Verily! I have rewarded them this Day for their patience, they are indeed the ones that are successful. 111 He will ask, "How many years did you stay on earth?" 112 They will reply: 'A day, or part of a day; ask those who have kept count' 113 He will say, "You only stayed for a little while, if only you knew. 114 "Did you think that We had created you in play (without any purpose), and that you would not be brought back to Us?" 115 So Exalted be Allah, the True King, La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Lord of the Supreme Throne! 116 And whosoever calls upon another god with God, whereof he has no proof, his reckoning is with his Lord; surely the unbelievers shall not prosper. 117 Say: "My Lord, forgive and have mercy. You are the best of the merciful." 118
