THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 and succoured them, so that [in the end] it was they who achieved victory. 116 We granted them a Clear Book, 117 And guided them to the Straight Path. 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 Peace be with Moses and Aaron. 120 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 121 they were among Our believing servants. 122 Elias was certainly a Messenger. 123 When he said to his people, "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you call upon Baal and forsake the Best of the Creators? 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 129 Peace be on Ilyas. 130 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 131 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 And verily Lut was of the sent ones. 133 When We rescued him and his entire household. 134 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And lo! ye verily pass by (the ruin of) them in the morning 137 and at night, will you not understand? 138
