Remind them, therefore, that by the grace of your Lord you are neither a soothsayer nor possessed. 29 Do they say: "He is a poet for whom we expect an adverse turn of fortune?" 30 Say thou: "Wait, [then,] hopefully; behold, I, too, shall hopefully wait with you!" 31 Do their minds prompt them to say such things, or are they a people immersed in transgression?” 32 Or do they say, "He fabricated the (Message)"? Nay, they have no faith! 33 Let them produce a phrase like it, if what they say is true! 34 Or were they created out of nothing? Or are they the creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay, but they are sure of nothing! 36 Or do they own the treasures of thy Lord? Or have they been given charge (thereof)? 37 Or do they have any stairs, climbing upon which they eavesdrop? So their eavesdropper should bring some clear proof! 38 Or has He daughters while you have sons? 39 Do you (Muhammad) ask them for any payment (for your preaching) which they cannot afford? 40 Or is the hidden with them, by which they pass judgements? 41 Or do they intend a plan? But those who disbelieve - they are the object of a plan. 42 Have they, then, any deity other than God? Utterly remote is God, in His limitless glory, from anything to which men may ascribe a share in His divinity! 43 Were they to see a piece of the sky falling (on them), they would (only) say: "Clouds gathered in heaps!" 44 so leave them alone till they face the Day on which they will be struck dumb, 45 Their deception will not avail them in the least on that day, nor will they be helped. 46 And surely those who are unjust shall have a punishment besides that (in the world), but most of them do not know. 47 And so, await in patience thy Sustainer's judgment, for thou art well within Our sight. And extol thy Sustainer's limitless glory and praise whenever thou risest up, 48 and glorify Him after the setting of the stars. 49
