Kingship (Al-Mulk)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Blessed is He in whose hands is the Kingdom and who has power over all things. 1 Who hath created life and death that He may try you which of you is best in conduct; and He is the Mighty, the Forgiving, 2 He Who created the seven heavens one above another: No want of proportion wilt thou see in the Creation of (Allah) Most Gracious. So turn thy vision again: seest thou any flaw? 3 Look twice (and keep on looking), your eyes will only become dull and tired. 4 We have decked the lowest heavens with torches. With these torches We have stoned the devils and We have prepared for them the torment of hell. 5 The chastisement of Hell awaits those who disbelieve in their Lord. What a wretched destination! 6 When they are flung therein they hear its roaring as it boileth up, 7 as though it will burst with rage. Every time a multitude is cast into it, its keepers will ask them: “Did no warner come to you?” 8 They will say, "Yes, someone did come to warn us, but we rejected him saying, 'God has revealed nothing. You are in great error". 9 And they shall say: Had we but listened or pondered, we should not have been among the inmates of the burning fire. 10 So now they admit their sins! Therefore accursed be the people of hell! 11 For those who fear their Lord in secret is forgiveness and a great reward. 12 AND [know, O men, that] whether you keep your beliefs secret or state them openly, He has full knowledge indeed of all that is in [your] hearts. 13 What! Will He Who has created not know? Whereas He knows every detail, the All Aware! 14
