Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Nay! I swear by the day of resurrection. 1 and by the self accusing soul (that you will certainly be resurrected). 2 Does man imagine that We will not be able to bring his bones together again? 3 Surely We are able to reform even his finger-tips. 4 Yet man wants to deny what is ahead of him: 5 He asks: When is the day of resurrection? 6 When the sight is dazed, 7 and the moon eclipsed, 8 and the sun and the moon are brought together 9 That day man will say: "Where can I find escape?" 10 No, there shall be no (place of) refuge. 11 With your Lord alone will be the retreat that Day. 12 Upon that day man shall be told his former deeds and his latter; 13 nay, man shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 Although he tender his excuses. 15 Do not forestall (the revelation before its completion) by acting in haste. 16 Verily upon us is the collecting thereof and the reciting thereof. 17 So, as We recite it, follow its reading. 18 We shall be responsible for its explanation. 19 Nay! But you love the present life, 20 and neglect the Hereafter. 21 On that day, some faces will shine with freshness. 22 gazing upon their Lord; 23 And on that Day there shall be scowling faces, 24 believing that a crushing calamity is about to strike them. 25 Never so, for when life withdraws into the clavicula, 26 And men say: Where is the wizard (who can save him now)? 27 and he knows that it is the time of parting; 28 and leg is intertwined with leg, 29 To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession. 30
