Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven splits open. 1 When the Stars are scattered; 2 When the Oceans are suffered to burst forth; 3 And when the graves are turned upside down (and they bring out their contents) 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 O human! What has deceived you concerning your Generous Lord 6 Him Who created thee. Fashioned thee in due proportion, and gave thee a just bias; 7 Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 but you should know that there are angelic guards 10 The honourable recorders. 11 who know what you do. 12 Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure, 13 whereas the wicked will be in Hell; 14 Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment, 15 And they shall by no means be absent from it. 16 And what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 17 And once again: What could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
