Al-Layl
The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the night enshrouding 1 By the day when it appeareth in glory, 2 By (the mystery of) the creation of male and female;- 3 Indeed your efforts differ. 4 So he who gives (in charity) and fears (Allah), 5 And believes in Al-Husna. 6 We will pave his way to ease. 7 But he who is a greedy miser and thinks himself self-sufficient, 8 And gives the lie to Al-Husna (see Verse No: 6 footnote); 9 We shall facilitate the path to affliction 10 and what will his wealth avail him when he goes down [to his grave]? 11 Verily We take upon Ourselves to guide, 12 and to Us belong the hereafter and the worldly life. 13 Wherefore I have warned you of Fire flaming, 14 None shall enter it save the most wretched, 15 He who denieth and turneth away. 16 And avoid it shall the most pious, 17 the Godfearing who spends his wealth to purify himself; 18 And is under no one's obligation to return his favour, 19 Except as seeking (to fulfil) the purpose of his Lord Most High. 20 And soon will they attain (complete) satisfaction. 21
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
