Pilgrimage (Al-Hajj)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ O people, fear your Lord; indeed the earthquake of the Last Day is a tremendous thing. 1 On the day when you will witness it, every nursing mother will forget her nurseling and every pregnant one will discharge her burden, and you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) will see people as if they are drunk, whereas they will not be intoxicated, but the fact is that Allah’s punishment is very severe. 2 Among people there are those, who without knowledge, dispute about Allah and follow every rebel satan, 3 about which it has been decreed that whoever entrusts himself to it, him will it lead astray and guide towards the suffering of the blazing flame! 4 O mankind! if ye are in doubt concerning the Resurrection, then lo! We have created you from dust, then from a drop of seed, then from a clot, then from a little lump of flesh shapely and shapeless, that We may make (it) clear for you. And We cause what We will to remain in the wombs for an appointed time, and afterward We bring you forth as infants, then (give you growth) that ye attain your full strength. And among you there is he who dieth (young), and among you there is he who is brought back to the most abject time of life, so that, after knowledge, he knoweth naught. And thou (Muhammad) seest the earth barren, but when We send down water thereon, it doth thrill and swell and put forth every lovely kind (of growth). 5 that is because God is the truth. It is He who gives life to the dead and He has the power to will anything. 6 And because the Hour is coming - there is no doubt thereof - and because Allah will raise up those who are in the graves. 7 And of mankind is he who disputeth respecting Allah without knowledge or guidance or a Book luminous. 8 Turning away in pride to beguile (men) from the way of Allah. For him in this world is ignominy, and on the Day of Resurrection We make him taste the doom of burning. 9 That is the outcome of what your own hands have wrought, for Allah never wrongs His creatures. 10
