We have created the human being out of pure mud-moulded clay 26 and the jinn We had created before from flaming fire. 27 Your Lord said to the angels, "I am about to bring into being a man wrought from mud. 28 "When I have fashioned him (in due proportion) and breathed into him of My spirit, fall ye down in obeisance unto him." 29 So the angels prostrated - all of them entirely, 30 Except Iblis (Satan), - he refused to be among the prostrators. 31 He said: 'iblis, what is the matter with you, that you do you not prostrate yourself' 32 He said: "It does not behove of me to prostrate myself before a human being whom You have created out of dry ringing clay wrought from black mud." 33 God told him, "Get out of the garden; you are rejected 34 and will be subjected to condemnation until the Day of Judgment." 35 He said, “My Lord! Grant me respite till the day when they will all be raised.” 36 Answered He: "Verily, so be it: thou shalt be among those who are granted respite 37 for an appointed time." 38 Said he, 'My Lord, for Thy perverting me I shall deck all fair to them in the earth, and I shall pervert them, all together, 39 Except, among them, Your chosen servants." 40 Said He, 'This is for Me a straight path: 41 Verily as for My bondmen, no authority shalt thou have over them, except the erring one who follow thee. 42 Surely Hell is the promised place for all of them." 43 "It (Hell) has seven gates, for each of those gates is a (special) class (of sinners) assigned. 44
