Al-Taareq

The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By the heaven and the Morning Star 1 And what can make you know what is the night comer? 2 - The piercing Star! 3 That over each soul there is a guardian. 4 So let man see from what he is created! 5 He was created from spurting fluid, 6 issuing from between the loins [of man] and the pelvic arch [of woman]. 7 Surely He is able to bring him back 8 The Day that (all) things secret will be tested, 9 and he shall have no strength, no helper. 10 By oath of the sky from which comes down the rain. 11 and the replenishing earth, 12 That this (Qur'an) is a decisive word 13 and it is certainly not a jest. 14 Verily they are plotting a plot. 15 and I too am devising a guile. 16 Give respite to the disbelievers and leave them alone for a while. 17

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
