1/4 Hizb 38
< random >
The dwellers of the Thicket belied their Messengers. 176 Behold, Shu'aib said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 177 Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, 178 So fear Allah and obey me. 179 I do not ask any payment for my preaching. I shall receive my reward from the Lord of the Universe. 180 ۞ “Measure in full, and do not be of those who reduce.” 181 and weigh with the straight scale, 182 And defraud not people of their things, and commit not corruption on the earth. 183 Have fear of the One who has created you and the generations that lived before you." 184 They replied, "You are bewitched. 185 And you are naught but a mortal like ourselves, and we know you to be certainly of the liars. 186 But in case you are speaking the truth, then make a segment of the sky to fall upon us." 187 He. said: My Lord is the Best Knower of that which ye work. 188 But they called him a liar, so the punishment of the day of covering overtook them; surely it was the punishment of a grievous day. 189 Verily in this was a sign, but most of them do not believe. 190 Your Lord, He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 191

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
