When the hypocrites, and those in whose hearts was sickness, said, 'Their religion has deluded them'; but whosoever puts his trust in God, surely God is All-mighty, All-wise. 49 And if you could only see when the angels took away the souls of the unbelievers, striking them on their faces and backs, saying: 'Taste the torment of burning. 50 "This is because of that which your hands had forwarded. And verily, Allah is not unjust to His slaves." 51 Their case is like that of the people of Pharaoh and those before them. They denied the signs of Allah and so Allah seized them for their sins. Surely Allah is All-Powerful, Stern in retribution. 52 This is because Allah does not change the favour He has bestowed upon any people until they first change themselves, and indeed Allah is All Hearing, All Knowing. 53 Like the ways of Firaun’s people and those before them; they denied the signs of Allah – We therefore destroyed them on account of their sins and We drowned the people of Firaun; and they all were unjust. 54 For the worst of beasts in the sight of Allah are those who reject Him: They will not believe. 55 They are those with whom you made a covenant, but they break their covenant every time and they do not fear Allah. 56 if you meet them in battle, cause their example to scatter those behind them so that they remember. 57 If you fear treachery from any of your allies, you can dissolve with them equally. Allah does not love the treacherous. 58
