The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)

286 verses, revealed in Medina after The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen) before The Spoils of War (Al-Anfaal)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

Alif-Lam-Mim. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings]. 1 This is The Book free of doubt and involution, a guidance for those who preserve themselves from evil and follow the straight path, 2 who believe in the Unseen, and perform the prayer, and expend of that We have provided them; 3 Who believe in what has been revealed to you and what was revealed to those before you, and are certain of the Hereafter. 4 These are on guidance from their Lord, and these they are the blissful ones. 5 Those who deny your message will not believe whether you warn them or not 6 God has sealed their hearts and their hearing, and over their eyes is a veil; and awesome suffering awaits them. 7
