The dead land is a sign for them. We revive it, and from it produce grain from which they eat. 33 And We have placed therein gardens of the date-palm and grapes, and We have caused springs of water to gush forth therein, 34 That they may eat of the fruit thereof; and their hands worked it not. Will they not, therefore, give thanks? 35 Glory be to Him Who created all the sexual pairs, of that which the earth groweth, and of themselves, and of that which they know not! 36 A token unto them is night. We strip it of the day, and lo! they are in darkness. 37 The sun, too, follows its determined course laid down for it by the Almighty, the All Knowing. 38 And (as for) the moon, We have ordained for it stages till it becomes again as an old dry palm branch. 39 It is not for the sun to overtake the moon, nor does the night outstrip the day. They all float, each in an orbit. 40 And a sign unto them is that We bear their offspring in a laden ship. 41 And We have created for them the like of it, what they will ride on. 42 And if We please, We can drown them, then there shall be no succorer for them, nor shall they be rescued 43 save as a mercy from Us, and enjoyment for a while. 44 Whenever they are told to guard themselves against sin and the forth coming torment so that perhaps they could receive mercy 45 and no message of their Sustainer's messages ever reaches them without their turning away from it. 46 And when they are told, "Spend ye of (the bounties) with which Allah has provided you," the Unbelievers say to those who believe: "Shall we then feed those whom, if Allah had so willed, He would have fed, (Himself)? Ye are in nothing but manifest error." 47 And they say, “When will this promise be fulfilled, if you are truthful?” 48 They are awaiting only for one Cry to seize them while they are yet disputing, 49 So they shall not be able to make a bequest, nor shall they return to their families. 50
