Al-Najm 3 of 3
So did you observe him who turned away? 33 And gave a little, then stopped (giving)? 34 Has he the knowledge of the unseen so that he can see? 35 Or hath he not had news of what is in the books of Moses 36 And (of) Ibrahim who fulfilled (the commandments): 37 That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another. 38 And that man hath only that for which he maketh effort, 39 And that his endeavour shall be presently observed. 40 Then he will be recompensed with a full and the best recompense. 41 To your Lord will all things eventually return. 42 and that He it is Who causes people to laugh and to cry, 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 and that He Himself created the two sexes: male and female, 45 From a sperm-drop when it is emitted 46 And that He hath ordained the second bringing forth; 47 and that it is He who gives wealth and riches, 48 And that He it is Who is the Lord of Sirius; 49 And that it is He (Allah) Who destroyed the former 'Ad (people), 50 and Thamood, sparing no one, 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 And that it is He Who threw down the upturned townships? 53 Then covered them with that which covered them. 54 Which of your Lord's benefits will you then dispute about? 55 This is a warning just like those of former times. 56 What is to come is imminent. 57 There shall be none besides Allah to remove it. 58 Do you then find these tidings strange? 59 And you laugh at it and weep not, 60 and divert yourselves all the while? 61 So prostrate to Allah and worship [Him]. ۩ 62
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
