NAY, but consider the moon! 32 By the night when it departs. 33 By the dawn when it lightens! 34 it is one of the greatest trials, 35 a warning to humankind, 36 a warning to everyone of you whether he would like to come forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul shall be pledged for what it has earned, 38 Except the Companions of the Right Hand. 39 In Gardens (Paradise) they will ask one another, 40 About Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, criminals, disbelievers, etc.), (And they will say to them): 41 "what led you into hell?" 42 They will say, "We were not of those who prayed, 43 we fed not the needy, 44 And we have been wading with the waders. 45 and rejected the Day of Judgment 46 Till death overtook us. 47 So no intercession of intercessors will be of any use to them. 48 If such will be the Day of Judgment, what is the matter with them? Why do they run away from guidance, 49 as if they were startled asses 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Forsooth, each one of them wants to be given scrolls (of revelation) spread out! 52 Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter (from Allah's punishment). 53 By no means! Verily this Qur'an is an admonition. 54 so whoever wills shall remember it. 55 And they will not remember, except that God wills; He is worthy to be feared, -- worthy to forgive. 56
