The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
(On the day) when the sun is made to cease shining, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 and when the mountains are made to vanish, 3 And when full-term she-camels are neglected 4 And when wild animals are herded together. 5 And when the seas are set on fire, 6 And when the souls are paired 7 when the buried female infant is asked 8 such as, "For what crime were they murdered?" 9 when the scrolls shall be unrolled, 10 And when the heaven has its covering removed, 11 when Hell is set ablaze, 12 and Paradise brought nigh: 13 then, each soul shall know what it has produced. 14 But nay! I swear by the stars, 15 stars which are visible during the night 16 and sit during the day, or by the darkening night 17 and the morn as it softly breathes: 18 that the Quran is the word of the honorable angelic, mighty Messenger 19 Mighty, established in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 One (to be) obeyed, and faithful in trust. 21 Your companion is not one possessed: 22 Surely he beheld Him on the clear horizon. 23 and he is not one to begrudge others the knowledge [of whatever has been revealed to him] out of that which is beyond the reach of human Perception. 24 Nor is this the utterance of a devil worthy to be stoned. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 Verily, this (the Quran) is no less than a Reminder to (all) the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). 27 to everyone of you who wills to walk a straight way. 28 but will you shall not, unless God wills, the Lord of all Being. 29
