The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven, and At-Tariq (the night-comer, i.e. the bright star); 1 How will you comprehend what the night star is? 2 It is the star that pierces through [life's] darkness: 3 [for] no human being has ever been left unguarded. 4 So let man look - from what is he created. 5 He was created from ejaculated water 6 that issues from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)! 8 On the Day when secrets are disclosed, 9 when he will be helpless, with no supporter. 10 By heaven of the returning rain, 11 And the earth splitting (with plants); 12 Indeed, the Qur'an is a decisive statement, 13 it is not a jest. 14 They (disbelievers) plot every evil plan, 15 And I plot a plot (against them). 16 Therefore give them some respite give them some time. 17
Almighty Allah's Truth.
