Seest thou one who turns back, 33 and gives a little, grudgingly? 34 Is with him knowledge of the unseen so that he seeth? 35 Hath he not been told of that which is in the writs of Musa. 36 and of Abraham, who to his trust was true: 37 that no soul shall bear the burden of another; 38 That a man receives but only that for which he strives; 39 And that his endeavour shall be presently observed. 40 Then he will be recompensed with a full and the best recompense. 41 and that the final end is unto thy Lord, 42 And that it is He Who causeth to laugh and causeth to weep. 43 And that it is He Who gave death and gave life? 44 and that He Himself created the two kinds, male and female, 45 from a drop of sperm when it was emitted, 46 And that [incumbent] upon Him is the next creation 47 And that it is He who enriches and suffices 48 And that it is He Who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that He destroyed the former 'A-ad. 50 And Thamud, and did not leave them, 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 Which of your Lord's benefits will you then dispute about? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Imminent is near at hand; 57 None but God can avert it. 58 Do ye then wonder at this recital? 59 And you laugh, and do not weep! 60 And you are lost in play! 61 Therefore prostrate for Allah, and worship Him.
