The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven of the constellations! 1 And by the Day promised, 2 by the Witness and the witnessed, 3 Cursed were the people of the ditch (the story of the Boy and the King). 4 [Containing] the fire full of fuel, 5 When they sat by it (fire), 6 and were witnessing what they did to the believers. 7 And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised, 8 [and] to whom the dominion of the heavens and the earth belongs. But God is witness unto everything! 9 Verily, as for those who persecute believing men and believing women, and thereafter do not repent, hell's suffering awaits them: yea, suffering through fire awaits them! 10 Those who believe, and do righteous deeds, for them await gardens underneath which rivers flow; that is the great triumph. 11 The grip of your Lord is indeed severe, 12 It is He who originates and repeats. 13 and He is the Ever Forgiving, the Most Loving 14 The Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 Performer of what He desires. 16 Has there reached you the story of the soldiers - 17 Of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and Thamud? 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 Whereas Allah is, from behind them, Encompassing. 20 What is revealed to you is certainly a glorious Quran 21 that exists in a well-guarded tablet. 22
