Man is prone to say: "Shall I be raised to life after I die?" 66 Remembereth not man that We created him afore when he was not aught? 67 By your Lord, We shall most surely gather them and the devils too; and bring them close to hell on their knees. 68 We shall pull out of every section those who were most perversely rebellious against Ar-Rahman. 69 We know best who deserves greater suffering in hell fire. 70 There is not one of you but shall pass by Hell. This is a decree which your Lord will fulfil. 71 And once again: We shall save [from hell] those who have been conscious of Us; but We shall leave in it the evildoers, on their knees. 72 And when Our clear verses are recited to them, the disbelievers say to the Muslims, “Which group has a better home, and a better alliance?” 73 How numerous are the peoples We destroyed before them - those that were more resourceful and grander in outward appearance! 74 Say, "The Gracious One grants respite for a time to those who are in error until, when they are confronted with what they are promised, either in punishment [in the world] or in [the approach of] the Hour, they will realize who is worse in respect of position and who is weaker in resources." 75 God further enlightens those who seek guidance. To those who do charitable deeds which produce continuing benefits, your Lord will give a better reward and a better place in Paradise. 76 Hast thou seen him who disbelieves in Our signs and says, 'Assuredly I shall be given wealth and children'? 77 What, has he observed the Unseen, or taken a covenant with the All-merciful? 78 Nay! We shall record what he says, and We shall lengthen the length of his suffering [in the hereafter,] 79 And We will inherit him [in] what he mentions, and he will come to Us alone. 80 And they have taken gods, other than Allah, that they might be a power from them. 81 Nay, but they (the so-called gods) will deny their worship of them, and become opponents to them (on the Day of Resurrection). 82
