3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah had verily called to Us. And how gracious was He who answered (him). 75 for We saved him and his household from that awesome calamity, 76 and We made his seed the survivors, 77 We perpetuated his praise in later generations. 78 Peace and salutation to Nuh among the nations. 79 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 80 Verily he was of Our bondmen believing. 81 Then We drowned the disbelievers. 82 ۞ And most surely Ibrahim followed his way. 83 he came to his Lord with a sound heart. 84 and said to his father and his people: “Whom do you worship? 85 Would you serve false deities instead of God? 86 “So what do you assume regarding the Lord Of The Creation?” (That He will not punish you?) 87 He cast a glance at the stars 88 And said, "I am sick," 89 So turning their backs, they went away from him. 90 Then he slipped unto their gods and said: eat ye not? 91 Why do you not speak?" 92 And he turned upon them smiting them with his right hand. 93 So the people descended upon him. 94 He said: "Worship ye that which ye have (yourselves) carved? 95 "When God has created you and what you make?" 96 They said, "Let us build a fire and throw him into the flames". 97 They desired to outwit him; so We made them the lower ones. 98 Abraham said: “I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 My Lord! grant me of the doers of good deeds. 100 And We gave him the glad tidings of a very gentle son (Ishmael). 101 And when he reached the age of traveling with him, he said: 'My son, while I was sleeping I saw that I shall slaughter (sacrifice) you, tell me what is your opinion' He replied: 'Father, do as you are ordered (by Allah). Allah willing, you shall find me one of those who are steadfast' 102 So when they both submitted and he threw him down upon his forehead, 103 We called unto him, 'Abraham, 104 “You have indeed made the dream come true”; and this is how We reward the virtuous. 105 This is indeed the manifest trial.' 106 And We ransomed him with a tremendous sacrifice, 107 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 108 Peace be on Ibrahim. 109 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 110 For he was one of our believing Servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Is-haq, a prophet, and of the righteous. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac: but among the offspring of these two there were [destined] to be both doers of good and such as would glaringly sin against themselves. 113

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
