O believers, remember God oft, 41 And glorify His Praises morning and afternoon [the early morning (Fajr) and 'Asr prayers]. 42 He it is who bestows His blessings upon you, with His angels [echoing Him,] so that He might take you out of the depths of darkness into the light. And indeed, a dispenser of grace is He unto the believers. 43 On the Day they meet Him, their greeting shall be 'Peace' A generous recompense He has prepared for them. 44 O Prophet, We have sent you as a witness, a bearer of glad tidings, and to bear warning; 45 And as a summoner unto Allah by His permission, and as a lamp that giveth light. 46 Give to the believers the glad tidings that with Allah there is for them a great bounty. 47 Do not obey the unbelievers and the hypocrites, pay no attention to their hurt. Put your trust in Allah; Allah suffices as a Guardian. 48 O believers, when you marry believing women and then divorce them before you touch them, you have no period to reckon against them; so make provision for them, and set them free with kindliness. 49 We have made lawful for you, O Prophet, wives to whom you have given their dower, and God-given maids and captives you have married, and the daughters of your father's brothers and daughters of your father's sisters, and daughters of your mother's brothers and sisters, who migrated with you; and a believing woman who offers herself to the Prophet if the Prophet desires to marry her. This is a privilege only for you and not the other believers. We know what We have ordained for them about their wives and maids they possess, so that you may be free of blame, for God is forgiving and kind. 50 ۞ Thou mayest put off such of them as thou wilt, and thou mayest take unto thee such of them as thou wilt; and whomsoever thou desirest if such as thou hadst set aside there is no blame upon thee. This is likelier to cool their eyes and not let them grieve and to keep them pleased with whatsoever thou shalt give every one of them. Allah knoweth that which is in your hearts, and Allah is ever Knowing, Forbearing. 51 Women are not allowed unto thee henceforth, nor mayest thou change them for other wives although their beauty please thee, save those whom thy right hand shall own; and Allah is ever over everything a Watcher. 52
