Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Has the news of the overwhelming event reached you? 1 On that Day faces shall be humbled, 2 Working [hard] and exhausted. 3 They shall roast into the scalding Fire, 4 and will be made to drink from a fiercely boiling spring. 5 For them there will be no food except from a poisonous, thorny plant 6 Which neither nourishes nor avails against hunger. 7 In that day other faces will be calm, 8 and pleased with the result of their deeds in the past. 9 In an elevated garden, 10 where they will hear no idle talk. 11 with a flowing spring, 12 Wherein are couches raised 13 and goblets laid out, 14 and cushions ranged, 15 And carpets spread out. 16 Then do they not look at the camels - how they are created? 17 And at the heaven, how it is raised? 18 And the mountains, how they were fixed; 19 And the earth, how it is spread? 20 Remind them; you are surely a reminder. 21 You are not charged to oversee them. 22 However, those who turn away and disbelieve, 23 Then Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment. 24 Indeed, to Us they shall return, 25 then upon Us shall rest their reckoning. 26
Almighty Allah's Truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
