And verily, the dwellers of Al-Hijr (the rocky tract) denied the Messengers. 80 And We gave them Our signs, and they remained averse to them. 81 Out of the mountains did they hew (their) edifices, (feeling themselves) secure. 82 But the (Awful) Cry overtook them at the morning hour, 83 Out of what they had gained, nothing proved to be of any benefit to them. 84 We have created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, for a genuine purpose. The Day of Judgment will certainly approach, so (Muhammad) forgive them graciously. 85 Indeed your Lord only is the Great Creator, the All Knowing. 86 AND, INDEED, We have bestowed upon thee seven of the oft repeated [verses,] and [have, thus, laid open before thee] this sublime Qur'an: 87 Strain not thine eyes. (Wistfully) at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them, nor grieve over them: but lower thy wing (in gentleness) to the believers. 88 And proclaim, “Indeed I, yes I, am the clear Herald of Warning.” 89 So We sent it down to the partitioners, 90 who have broken the Koran into parts, 91 by your Lord, We shall question them all 92 For all their deeds. 93 Therefore expound openly what thou art commanded, and turn away from those who join false gods with Allah. 94 verily, We shall suffice thee against all who [now] deride [this message - all] 95 Those who ascribe another God along with Allah; so they will soon come to know. 96 And indeed We know that you are disheartened by their speech. 97 Exalt with the praise of your Lord and be one of those who prostrate. 98 and worship your Lord until the last moment (of your life) that will most certainly come. 99
