Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 for an appointed term? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 The living and the dead, 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
