ART THOU NOT aware of how far they who call God's messages in question have lost sight of the truth? 69 Those who reject the Book and the (revelations) with which We sent our messengers: but soon shall they know,- 70 When the fetters and chains are round their necks they shall be dragged 71 and are dragged into burning despair, and in the end become fuel for the fire [of hell]. 72 It will then be said to them, “Where are the partners you used to appoint?” – 73 "Besides Allah" They will say: "They have vanished from us: Nay, we did not invoke (worship) anything before." Thus Allah leads astray the disbelievers. 74 this is an outcome of your having arrogantly exulted on earth without any [concern for what is] right, and of your having been so full of self-conceit! 75 Enter the gates of hell to abide therein, evil then is the abode of the proud. 76 Therefore have patience, the Promise of Allah is true. Whether We show you something of that We promise them or call you to Us, to Us they shall all return. 77 Indeed We sent many Noble Messengers before you, so We have related to you the affairs of some among them, and not related the affairs of some; and no Noble Messenger has the right to bring any sign except with the command of Allah; so the time when the command of Allah comes, the true judgement will be delivered and there will the people of falsehood be ruined. 78
