The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
(Muhammad), read in the name of your Lord who created (all things). 1 Created man, out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood: 2 Proclaim! And thy Lord is Most Bountiful,- 3 who, by the pen, taught the human being: 4 taught man what he did not know. 5 Nay, surely man transgresses; 6 because he thinks that he is independent. 7 Verily unto thy Lord is the return. 8 Have you seen the one who prohibits 9 A slave (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) when he prays? 10 What thinkest thou? If he were upon guidance 11 Or had enjoined piety, (it would have been better)? 12 Have you seen if he denies and turns away - 13 Does he not know that God observes all things? 14 Let him know that if he does not desist, We shall certainly drag him by his forelocks, 15 a lying, sinful forelock. 16 Then, let him call upon his council (of helpers), 17 We too shall summon the guards of Hell. 18 Nay! (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him))! Do not obey him (Abu Jahl). Fall prostrate and draw near to Allah! ۩ 19
Almighty God's Truth.
