Dawn (Al-Fajr)
30 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Night (Al-Layl) before The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the dawn, 1 And ten nights, 2 And by the even and the odd (of all the creations of Allah). 3 And [by] the night when it passes, 4 Truly in that there is an oath for those who possess understanding. 5 Have you not considered how your Lord dealt with Ad, 6 the people of the huge columned city of Eram 7 The like of which were not created in the land? 8 And with Thamud who carved rocks in the valley; 9 And with Pharaoh, firm of might, 10 [All of] whom oppressed within the lands 11 And multiplied corruption. 12 Thus, your Lord afflicted them with torment; 13 for, indeed, your Sustainer is ever on the watch! 14 As for man - when his Lord proveth him and so honoureth him and is bounteous unto him, then he saith: 'my Lord hath honoured me, 15 But when He tries him (differently), then straitens to him his means of subsistence, he says: My Lord has disgraced me. 16 Nay, but ye (for your part) honour not the orphan 17 and you urge not the feeding of the needy, 18 and you devour the inheritance [of others] with devouring greed, 19 And you harbour intense love for wealth. 20 Nay, but when the earth is ground to atoms, grinding, grinding, 21 and when your Lord appears with rows upon rows of angels, 22 And Hell will be brought near that Day. On that Day will man remember, but how will that remembrance (then) avail him? 23 He shall say, 'O would that I had forwarded for my life!' 24 So on that Day, none will punish [as severely] as His punishment, 25 none shall bind as He binds. 26 O soul that art at rest! 27 return unto thy Lord, well-pleased, well-pleasing! 28 And enter among My [righteous] servants 29 Enter thou My Paradise!' 30

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
