And He it is Who brought forth for you hearing and sight and hearts, little thanks ye give! 78 It is God who has settled you on the earth and before Him you will all be assembled. 79 And it is He who gives life and causes death, and His is the alternation of the night and the day. Then will you not reason? 80 Rather, they say like what the former peoples said. 81 They say: "When we are dead and turned to dust and bones, shall we be raised to life again? 82 We and our fathers were promised this before; it is nothing but ancient lore!" 83 Ask them: "Whose is the earth and those who are in it? Tell us if you know" 84 They will say: Unto Allah. Say: Will ye not then remember? 85 Say: Who is Lord of the seven heavens, and Lord of the Tremendous Throne? 86 Thereupon they will say, “Such greatness is only that of Allah”; say, “So why do you not fear?” 87 Say: "In whose hand rests the mighty dominion over all things, and who is it that protects, the while there is no protection against Him? [Tell me this] if you happen to know [the answer]!" 88 They will say, "(It belongs) to Allah." Say: "Then how are ye deluded?" 89 In fact We brought the Truth to them, and indeed they are liars. 90 Never did God take unto Himself any offspring, nor has there ever been any deity side by side with Him: [for, had there been any,] lo! each deity would surely have stood apart [from the others] in whatever it had created, and they would surely have [tried to] overcome one another! Limitless in His glory is God, [far] above anything that men may devise by way of definition, 91 who has knowledge of the Unseen and the Visible; high exalted be He, above that they associate! 92
