Say (unto them, O Muhammad): I am only a warner, and there is no Allah save Allah, the One, the Absolute, 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Mighty, the Pardoning. 66 Say, "It is great news 67 from which you turn away. 68 I had no knowledge of the Exalted Assembly when they argued [against the creation of man]: 69 Naught is revealed to me save that I am a plain warner. 70 Behold, thy Lord said to the angels: "I am about to create man from clay: 71 When I have shaped him, and breathed My spirit in him, fall you down, bowing before him!' 72 The angels prostrated themselves, all of them. 73 save Iblis; he waxed proud, and was one of the unbelievers. 74 Said (God): "O Iblis, what hindered you from adoring what I created by My own authority? Are you too proud, or too high and mighty?" 75 He said: I am better than he: me Thou hast created of fire, and him Thou hast created of clay. 76 He said: “Get out of here; surely you are accursed, 77 And surely My curse is on you to the day of judgment. 78 He said, "Lord, grant me respite until the Day of Resurrection". 79 (Allah) said: "Respite then is granted thee- 80 Till the period of the time made known. 81 (Iblis) said: "Then, by Thy power, I will put them all in the wrong, 82 except Your sincere servants among them". 83 The Lord said, "I swear by the Truth - and I speak the Truth - 84 That I will fill Hell with you [Iblis (Satan)] and those of them (mankind) that follow you, together." 85 Say: 'I ask of you no wage for it, neither am I of those who take things upon themselves. 86 It is but a reminder to the worlds. 87 And ye shall surely come to know the truth thereof after a season. 88
