Nay; I swear by the moon, 32 And by the night when it withdraws, 33 And by oath of the morning, when it spreads light. 34 Surely, it is one of the gravest things, 35 a warning to mortal man 36 to whoever of you desires to go forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul shall be pledged for what it has earned, 38 Save the fellows of the right. 39 [dwelling] In gardens [of paradise,] they will inquire 40 and will ask of the criminals, 41 "what led you into hell?" 42 They will answer: "We did not fulfil our devotional obligations, 43 "Nor we used to feed Al-Miskin (the poor); 44 “And used to dwell on evil matters with those who think evilly.” 45 and we gave the lie to the Day of Judgement 46 "Until there came to us (the Hour) that is certain." 47 Then there will not profit them intercesion of the interceders. 48 What is the matter with people that they are turning away from this Exhortation, 49 like startled wild donkeys 50 That had fled from a lion? 51 Nay, every man of them desires to be -- given -- scrolls unrolled. 52 Nay, verily. They fear not the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily, this is an admonition 54 So whosoever willeth may heed it. 55 And they will not remember except that Allah wills. He is worthy of fear and adequate for [granting] forgiveness. 56
