The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By those (angels) ranged in ranks (or rows). 1 and the scarers scaring 2 and the reciters of a Remembrance, 3 Lo! thy Lord is surely One; 4 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and of whatever lies between the two, the Lord of the Easts. 5 Verily We! We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment: the stars. 6 and have protected it from every rebellious satan. 7 These satans cannot listen to what transpires in the High Council for they are pelted away from every side 8 And kept far away. There is perpetual punishment for them, 9 Except him who snatcheth away a word by stealth, and him then pursueth a glowing flame. 10 AND NOW ask those [who deny the truth] to enlighten thee: Were they more difficult to create than all those [untold marvels] that We have created? - for, behold, them have We created out of [mere] clay commingled with water! 11 Rather you are surprised, whereas they keep mocking. 12 And they do not understand, when explained to. 13 And when they see a sign they incite one another to scoff, 14 And they say: "This is nothing but evident magic! 15 “When we are dead and have turned into dust and bones, will we certainly be raised again?” 16 And our forefathers? 17 Say thou: "Yea, and ye shall then be humiliated (on account of your evil)." 18 There is but one Shout, and lo! they behold, 19 and they will say: 'Woe for us. This is the Day of Recompense' 20 This is the Day of Decision which you belied. 21
